On October 28th in Varna the international law firm Interlegal (Ukraine) and Vassilev Maritime (Turkey) held the seminar «Shipping and Arbitration: Insights from the Black Sea Region». 40 maritime business experts from 19 companies - ship brokers, fleet operators, agents, traders, and maritime lawyers participated in the seminar. Interlegal experts in their presentations highlighted various issues related to legal aspects of ice campaign, force majeure clauses and regional peculiarities of charter-parties performance in the Azov-Black Sea region. Todor Vassilev, LMAA supporting member, presented the report on the role of principles of natural justice in English arbitration, and the mechanism of making arbitration award and such award contents.
After the seminar, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss presentations in informal manner.
On 29th of October Interlegal delegation: Arthur Nitsevych, partner, and Andrey Perepelitsa and Alexey Remeslo, senior lawyers, visited the dinner dedicated to the anniversary of establishment of the Bulgarian branch of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
