International Law Offices (Interlegal) reports on Ice Day Seminar which will take place in Odessa on the 23rd of October. During the seminar there will be attempt to take into account the errors of ice season of the last winter (2011/2012) which brought several force majeure situations to the Black Sea and Sea of Azov. More than 150 vessels were stuck in ice. Are carriers, navigation companies, freighters, traders, services ready to provide safe navigation in extreme conditions and are the search and rescue services ready to new ice season 2012/2013? The lawyers, insurers, port workers, Ukrainian Sea and River Inspection and other services which take part in the search and rescue process given the severe winter and freezing will tell us about it at the seminar.
The seminar is co-organized by the Nautical Institute of Ukraine and the Ukraine Shipbrokers’ Club.
