Pretrial settlement of ship repair dispute

In pretrial settlement “Interlegal” has successfully defended interests of the Russian ship owner in the dispute upon payment for vessel repair at one of the ship-building yards of Ukraine. The vessel became a victim of financial dispute between the Ukrainian and foreign contractors due to negligence of the general contractor.

Experts of “Interlegal” developed and realized a step-by-step algorithm of distributing obligations between the parties of dispute. As the result the vessel was released and any claims against the vessel and her owners due to the further repair were eliminated.
