Danil Hristich, lawyer of Interlegal, took part in the “Law regulation of seafarers’ employment” Round Table organized by the Odessa Department of the Ukrainian Bar Association. It was held in Odessa on November 21, 2014. Lawyers of key law companies of Odessa participated in this event.
The issues of conclusion and application of seafarers’ employment agreements as well as practical aspects of paying reimbursement to seafarers under employment agreements were discussed at the round table.
Practical aspects of insurance indemnity in case of seafarer’s loss at sea caused a vivid discussion, In particular, there were discussed such issues as procedure of recognizing the lost seafarer as dead in Ukraine and peculiarities of negotiations with insurance companies.
